    [informazioni_architettoniche] => Per un piccolo studio di pittura dove poter anche soggiornare scelgo con Yasmin B. uno slargo a ridosso di due grandi rocce tondeggianti, disposte a mò di bastioni lungo un sentiero che scende a mare. La casa diventa così un terzo bastione che chiude il varco e ingloba l’unico passaggio. Lo spazio interno è tutto aperto, mentre in camino centrale sostiene la struttura circolare del tetto. Quattro muri bassi dividono la pianta in altrettanti spicchi e funzioni distinte (Ponis 2006)

It is partly due to to the perfect geometry of its centralized plan and partly to its minimal dimensions rather than to the building itself that it has come to be called a cabin, bungalow, chapel, or indeed a studio. It manages to be so essential and basic in form,  because it is set just a few meters from its own private beach, and iti is built on a flat expanse of land with a tick covering of Mediterranean macchia. … it is like a flying saucer that has fallen down among vast granite breasts, so step and smooth that they cannot be climbed. The break that the studio describes is a spatial translation of the existential condition of being on a vacation. The painter, Yasmin, who was so fascinated by the strange configuration into which the granite had been carved by wind and waves and who adored the dramatic Turneresque sunsets that cast their reflection on the water anda among the clouds in the western sky, spent her days on vacation in each of the four 90-degree segments of the studio in turn. One segment forms the entrance space, another a living room with a divan bed, a third a bedroom containing two single beds, while the fourth provide the kitchen and dining space. At the center is the fireplace that functions as the fulcrum and forms the apex of each ninety-degree segment, while also providing a pillar to support the radial wooden structure of the roof.
